Closie

Outfit planning

The outfit planner app that dresses you from your own closet

Closie is an outfit planner app for iPhone and Android that answers “what should I wear?” using only the clothes you already own. It checks the weather and your plans, suggests a look for today, and lets you plan a whole week, or every day of a trip, in a few minutes.

  • Free on iPhone and Android
  • Outfits only from your clothes
  • Matched to the forecast
  • Trip planner with packing list

What to wear today? An app that already knows the answer

Most mornings the problem isn’t a lack of clothes. It’s too many decisions made in a hurry. Closie takes the decision off your plate. When you open the app, the home screen shows the forecast for your location and a ready “look for today” put together from your wardrobe. Choose the occasion (work, a casual day, a dinner out) and the suggestion adapts. If it doesn’t feel right, swap a single piece or ask for another option. You still decide; the app just does the tedious part of remembering what you own and what goes with what.

An app that picks outfits from your closet, not from a shop

Many style apps are really shopping feeds: they inspire you with pieces you’d need to buy. Closie works the other way round. Every outfit it suggests is made only from the items in your digital wardrobe: the jeans you actually have, the blazer that’s been hanging there since spring. You add clothes by taking a photo, and Closie names and tags them automatically, so the outfit maker has real material to work with. The result is more outfits from the same wardrobe and fewer “I have nothing to wear” moments.

  • Photograph an item: Closie names and tags it for you
  • Outfits combine tops, bottoms, layers and shoes you own
  • Swap one piece without rebuilding the whole look
  • Save favourite combinations for busy mornings

Plan outfits for the week ahead

Sunday evening is the best time to plan. Closie has a calendar where you drop outfits onto specific days: the client meeting on Tuesday, the gym-then-office Wednesday, Friday drinks. Outfit creation and planning are unlimited, including on the free plan, so you can plan as far ahead as you like. When the day arrives, the plan is waiting on the home screen. Planning ahead also shows you patterns. You’ll quickly notice if you’ve reached for the same jumper four days running while half your wardrobe sits untouched.

Plan outfits for a trip and get the packing list too

The trip planner, new in Closie 1.3.1, is built for the question “what do I pack?”. Enter your destination and dates. Closie checks the weather forecast for the trip (or last year’s weather if you’re travelling further ahead), then plans an outfit for each day from your own clothes and turns them into a packing list. Before departure you get a reminder, so nothing is left on the bed. Because the outfits reuse pieces across days, you pack less and still have something planned for every evening.

  • Destination and dates are all it needs
  • Forecast-based (or last year’s weather for later trips)
  • One outfit per day, from your wardrobe
  • Packing list and a reminder before you leave

Is there a free outfit planner app?

Yes. Closie’s free plan is a working outfit planner, not a time-limited trial, and you don’t need a card to start. It includes a wardrobe for up to 100 items, unlimited outfits and planning, and one trip plan. The AI extras, try-ons on your avatar and Smart Buy checks, come with a few uses per month for free. If you want more room and more AI uses, Closie Plus is optional. Your photos are stored on EU servers, never sold to advertisers, and you can delete them whenever you want.

Outfit planner app: questions and answers

Is there an app that picks outfits from my own clothes?

Yes. Closie builds every suggestion only from the items in your digital wardrobe. You photograph your clothes, the app names and tags them, and then it combines them into outfits matched to the weather and the occasion. It doesn’t suggest things you would have to buy first.

Is the Closie outfit planner app free?

The free plan includes a wardrobe for up to 100 items, unlimited outfit creation and planning, one trip plan, and a few AI try-ons and Smart Buy checks every month. No card is needed. Closie Plus is optional and adds more wardrobe space, more AI uses, trends and forgotten-pieces outfits.

Can an app plan outfits for a trip?

Closie’s trip planner does exactly that. You enter the destination and dates, Closie checks the forecast for those days (or last year’s weather for trips further ahead), plans an outfit for each day from your clothes and creates a packing list. You also get a reminder before you leave.

Does the what to wear app take the weather into account?

Yes. The daily look on the home screen is matched to the weather forecast for your location, so you don’t get a linen dress suggested on a rainy 10°C morning. You can also choose an occasion, such as work or an evening out, and the suggestion changes accordingly.

Can I use Closie as an outfit planner on my computer?

Not at the moment. Closie is a mobile app for iPhone and Android, without a web version. Since you photograph clothes with your phone and check outfits while getting dressed, the phone is where most of the planning happens anyway.

How many clothes do I need to add before it works?

You can start with around 20–30 items you wear most often. That’s enough for useful outfit suggestions and a first week of planning. The more of your real wardrobe you add, the more varied the combinations and the more accurate your wear statistics become.
