Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy. This policy plainly states what data we collect, why, who we share it with and what rights you have. Closie is a digital wardrobe and outfit-planning app, so we process, among other things, photos of your clothes and, if you opt into the virtual fitting room, the photos used to create your avatar.
1. Data controller
The controller of your personal data is Jakub Tębłowski, running a sole proprietorship under the same name. Address: Sieciechowo 26, 72-200 Nowogard, Poland VAT (NIP): 856 193 52 35 REGON: 528 211 969 Email: kontakt@closie.pl
2. What data we process
• Account data: email address (login), optionally a display name and style preferences. • Photos of clothes you add to your digital wardrobe, along with descriptions (colour, type, category) detected automatically. • Photos used to generate your avatar and virtual fitting room, only if you use that feature. • Wear data (how many times you wore a given item) and outfits you created. • Smart Buy queries (a photo of the product being analysed, optionally price and link). • Technical data: device identifier, OS version, crash and error logs. • Subscription and purchase data (handled by Apple, Google and RevenueCat; we never see your card number).
3. Purposes and legal bases for processing
• Providing the service (contract): account, wardrobe, outfits, planner. • Generating AI Looks, the avatar and Smart Buy analysis (your consent): photos are processed by AI models to deliver the result. • Billing and subscription handling (contract). • Improving the app and diagnosing errors (legitimate interest). • Meeting legal obligations, e.g. keeping records for accounting.
4. AI-powered features, including photos
Some features (AI Looks, virtual fitting room and avatar, Smart Buy) use artificial-intelligence models provided by an external vendor (OpenAI). This means the photos you submit to them are sent to OpenAI to generate the result (e.g. an outfit, an avatar, a fit assessment against your wardrobe). You opt in voluntarily by enabling a given feature. You can use Closie without them: they are optional and draw from a separate pool of credits. You can opt out at any time by not using a feature or by deleting your avatar.
5. Who we share data with (recipients)
• Supabase: database, authentication and file storage infrastructure (servers in the European Union). • OpenAI: AI model provider (United States), see sections 4 and 8. • RevenueCat: subscription and in-app purchase handling (United States). • Sentry: error and stability monitoring. • Apple and Google: app distribution and system payments (App Store, Google Play). • Google (Analytics): anonymous traffic analytics on closie.pl (only with your consent via the cookie banner). • Microsoft (Clarity): anonymous session recordings and click heatmaps on closie.pl (only with your consent; US). We never sell your data. We share it only to the extent necessary to run the service or as required by law.
6. Payments
Closie Plus subscriptions and one-off purchases are processed through Apple App Store and Google Play, with technical handling by RevenueCat. Closie does not store card numbers or full billing details; they remain with the payment provider.
7. How long we keep data
• For as long as you use your account. • Clothing photos and descriptions, until you delete them or delete your account. • Your avatar, until you delete your account or refresh/delete the avatar yourself. • After account deletion, we remove associated data within a reasonable time (usually up to 30 days), except what we must keep for legal reasons (e.g. accounting).
8. Data transfers outside the EEA
Some services (OpenAI, RevenueCat, Apple, Google) run on servers outside the European Economic Area, mostly in the USA. Data is transferred only to the extent necessary and under appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, or adequacy decisions).
9. Cookies and technical data
Closie is primarily a mobile app; we do not use ads or tracking cookies for profiling. The app may store technical data on your device (e.g. a login session) and collect anonymous error logs via Sentry so we can fix crashes. The closie.pl website uses strictly necessary cookies and, with your consent, anonymous Google Analytics to help us understand how you use the site. You can withdraw consent in the cookie banner or by clearing cookies in your browser. With full consent ('Accept all') we also collect anonymous session recordings via Microsoft Clarity (US) to better understand how you use Closie.
10. Your rights (GDPR)
Under the GDPR you have the right to: • access your data and obtain a copy, • rectify inaccurate data, • erase your data ('right to be forgotten'), • restrict processing, • data portability, • object to processing, • withdraw consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal), • lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, in Poland the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (uodo.gov.pl). To exercise your rights, email kontakt@closie.pl.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when app features or the law change. We will notify you about material changes in the app or on the site. The last-updated date appears at the top of this document.
12. Contact
For questions about privacy, personal data or this policy, email kontakt@closie.pl or write to: Jakub Tębłowski, Sieciechowo 26, 72-200 Nowogard, Poland.
